These old advertisements from modeling magazines are nice to peruse when waxing
nostalgic over the days of yore. It really brings back memories of the early days
of aeromodeling. To be honest, equipment of today is far superior to the unreliable
electronics, lousy die-smashed balsa kits, questionable adhesives, and engines that
were difficult to start. Still, it was a time when a much greater percentage of
people knew how to build and fix things with their hands, and how to troubleshoot
and adjust items. These days, we buy ready-to-fly models and throw them away when
they break.
