 The Semroc Shrike
model rocket kit was modeled after the original Estes Shrike. The Shrike was the first (and maybe only)
2-stage rocket that I built as a kid. I seem to recall that the Shrike flew of into hinterlands when
a strong thermal caught the beast whilst descending on its parachute after a particularly high and daring
launch with a C-engine in the booster stage and a B-engine in the upper stage. If I ever have time,
the Shrike will be built and flown.
